A very clean and well running 45 bobber built on a 38 -39 chassis with a 42wla engine and tranny.
Engine:
1942 WLA +.060 overbore flywheels up rebuilt. engine cases (matching #), and rods set lapped and fitted properly.
new flywheel shafts, rod bearings, crank pin, valves, guides
rebuilt oil pump
heads are #5 and have a couple of broken fins. No broken fins on cylinders
carb is Linkert M88 totally rebuilt with a "rubber ducky" float assembly and doesn't leak fuel. Stock fuel filter with additional screen in gas tank.
rebuilt Fairbanks Morse magneto ignition
Transmission::
stock 3 speed rebuilt using all HD parts, 3 bolt mount style with third bolt made into a drain plug.
tight and dry
Engine has 33T sprocket with new primary and drive chains.
Clutch is stock
Chassis:
1938 - 1939 two bolt tranny mount uncut and stock
the only mods made on the build is the foward seat mount and the clutch cable mount which had been removed
stock uncoated tanks running the 1/4 NPT later style petcock on fuel side - no leaks. Oil tank is solid with no drips.
rear fender is a modified front fender off an FLH
taillight is a custom 30's Ford type two bulb unit with a vintage glass lens
12 volt chassis power with battery eliminator and solid state regulator
stock pre 41 brakes, check out the rear pedal assembly
front wheel is HD 19" alloy, rear is 18" alloy both run smooth and true with new Dunlop tires
lighting is ZEP spots and horn is original Harley
seat is original WWII tandem
handlebars are modified panhead bars with original factory grips

This machine is a pleasure to ride. She cranks easily and runs smooth. Primary drops its usual oil, of course, but the rest of the drive line is tight and dry.
