1964 Dodge Polara 500 6.3L 383Ci V8 727 Torqueflite

1964 Dodge Polara 500. Within the last 8,000 miles, the complete drivetrain has been rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt with all OEM parts, except for .030 pistons . A mild hydraulic cam (Comp Cams), rebuilt original 906 heads, a dual plane Weind Aluminum intake manifold with an Edelbrock four barrel carburetor. The ignition is now electronic and with an electric choke on the carb, the engine starts easily every time. The transmission and convertor were rebuilt along with the rear end which has a 3.55 ratio. The front end was done with all new parts and alignment done at the best front end shop in the area. The car cruises straight and smooth on new alloy wheels and tires. The exhaust system was replaced with a new H pattern design and has a throaty flowmaster sound. The body was stripped to bare metal. All rust was removed and replaced with new pieces and panels, inside and out. (see pictures). The car was prepped and painted to perfection. It was first painted black , then a light coat of purple lacing was applied inside the side mouldings, on the factory 1964 hoodscoop, and inside the trunk mouldings. The lacing is only seen at certain angles. Other new items on this car are the windshield, the bumpers, the grille, sterio system, interior, wheels, and stainless trim. There is also a factory trunk mounted battery and battery box. The interior was professionally done and is black with purple pipping to match the exterior The shifter is a floor mounted Hurst with Line-Loc.
